Colors Daylight turns golden as we cross limits of time, charging the air with silent words sublime. Encircling open fields, do not hem us in, kiss upon nape of neck, let the sighs begin. Sweet but never simple, as grapes upon tongue, words fall into poetry in-tune we have sung. Spooning to sleep, beneath apple trees, sun falling in sky with embracing ease. Colors of light I see, reflected in your eyes, sparking purity, naked where we lie. Nothing comes so easily as something meant to be. © 2000 CM Bailey |

That was a beautiful poem! I enjoyed it very much, and I can't wait to read more! "It is in our aloneness that we recognize our oneness, even as the single droplet of water knows also that it is the sea."Daniel *Cassie Roseen* |

Corinne, This is a nice poem that is a little confusing. In the first line it says, "daylight turns golden", which made me think that it was early morning. And then later I read, "sun falling in sky". I thought, what's going on? I think maybe you should start out with "Sunlight turns golden" as it is a little less vague and a reader wouldn't think that it was morning. Just thought you should know. best regards, bboog |

Corinne~ Oh, this is so pretty. I could just picture the warm golden glow of the afternoon sun ... slowly casting her colors across the meadow ... reaching toward the sunset of lovers. ABSOLUTELY beautiful, lady. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Adobe Tones Golden moments paint the day, blending now with then. Silent moments clearly say what is felt within Fields of sweetness cradle us in such free expanse. Lips and neck and sighs progress in this freshest dance Peeling layers from our words, joined in renewed song. Sweet, the flesh beneath is heard - intricate and strong. Lying close in echoed curves - mirrored, graceful trust. Pulling comfort, now relearned, drawn from nearing dusk. Earthen peace, surrounding us, matched within your eyes - deep and open, virtuous, safest port for mine. Dance steps come so easily when they trace what's meant to be. © RAM 4/28/00 |
