I Love the Rain

I hear the rain outside my window
          soothing, comforting, pattering
          I open the door to see
          the glorious rain
          It falls from the sky, glistening

          Dancing on the ground
          caressing all it touches
          I love the rain
          I breathe in deeply
          the freshness of the air, sweet

          I step outside
          to feel the rain upon my face
          falling, dripping, splashing
          I look up to the sky
          feeling marvelous inner peace
          I shut the door

          I love the rain

Very picturesque. I especially liked the last two lines. A soothing yet powerful piece.

A refreshing rain to wash away all that is hurting to make you feel clean and new again...a wonderful read netswan, I enjoyed it very much!

Alot of people don't understand my love of rain.
I think you have capture the wonder of it in your poem.
I do live in England though so I get plenty of Rain.

the rain is a curious beast, it cleanses yet
can also be perilous.
