dreams of an endless time a day when I was young once when the air was soft and the moon still held it's glow mem'ries of a better dusk an eve of youth and joy where things were carefree and the nights full of fun premonitions of a powerful dawn a morning of strength and beauty as the men toiled in the fields and brought home the things they'd grow oh I once had a plan once, I had a vision today I have the truth tomorrow will be a revision a piece of paper in the sand a shallow hole on a distant land penstrokes from a well-worn hand held in place by a silver band show me the future as it is play the video of my dreams sing the songs of yesterday for tomorrow is hope it seems shine a light so bright that all can see and you will find the joys that echo within me |

Hi there. This is wonderful work. Nice to see you here. Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |

This one certainly has a sad, haunting quality. But I'm glad it ends on an upward note. I don't know how old you are, but I remember feeling older when I was twenty-one, than I do now at more than twice that. It's all in the experiences and emotions, I think. Very nice poem. ~ ~ ~ P.S. Oh, and I LOVE the title!! < !signature--> The spiritual wind that holds survivors aloft, plants the seeds from which bloom new hope ... R.J.G. [This message has been edited by Rosemary J. I love these lines: "oh I once had a plan once, I had a vision today I have the truth tomorrow will be a revision" Another poem of insight and wisdom from a guy who is lucky enough to have a real life...!! LOL... Enjoyed this, James. We're gonna miss you when you go away again. *sob* |
