The Sword and the SalveIn the written word's warrant lies the sword and the salve, when the pen, in Truth's time weathered fingers we have placed, eager, such missives for all yet to read. The verses, sweet sonnets of thought and of deed. Though tenderly turned, most sincerely seductive, enchanting in timbre and amorous octave, still poets and prose promise oft to unite us, finding footfalls, our own, 'long the paths that divide us. Claire~ As always your poetry has such an allure. This is a fascinating piece. How wonderful that we can share one anothers 'paths'. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

We share each others paths as we try to find our own... Wonderfully written, we have been so fortunate to be allowed to share your path of poetic beauty. |

Mike, thank you...I know of nothing more artistically satisfying than to be given such words of praise from someone whose work I respect as much as I do yours. It's a thrill, to be sure. Troy, thank you, in earnest, for such kindness. I'm glad you found this poem to your liking. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |
