The  wedded  bliss  has  faded
to  the  glitter  of  the  night
The  beckoned  call  awaited
til  you  gave in  to  your  delight
~
Without  a  care  you  crushed  the  hearts
of  those  you  left  behind
You  water-skied  across  our  tears
to  chase  the  rainbows  through  your  mind
~
When  all  the  world  forgets  you
if  you're  lost  and  all  alone
When  all  your  friends  have  left  you
and  your  thoughts  drift  back  to  home
~
Remember  there  is  one  heart  left
who  loves  you  even  still
A  heart  that's  waiting  by  the  door
to  bark  and  wag  its' tail
~~~

I love this!! Don't you just love the hero's welcome when you get home. That's something I always look forward to. Someday I'd like to be the person my dog thinks I am. Cute poem!
