Morning's KissPiano carry this heart away take my morning into another day simplicity is enough to make me cry if I can just hold on to you Float far above the fiery sky somewhere near the mirror of your eye floors and doors and fluttering lace keep telling me to hold on to you Find your hush in my warmth and ways fall from crush of nights and days canopies of linen line your dreams stay and let me hold on to you Listen to the open window's song the melody lingers and the notes are long we'll dance again into morning's kiss and I will hold on to you Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Claire, have you been listening to the wind again? I hope so, because this is what I heard on it too. . . Beautiful poem, my friend. . . ----------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

So romantic and beautiful Claire. This one is definitely a read aloud one..and I did so several times. Truly lovely words. *Krista Knutson* As soon as man does not take his existence for granted, but beholds it as something unfathomably mysterious, thought begins. ~*Albert Schweitzer*~ |

Mike, thank you. My windows do stay open quite a bit. And yes, they were open last night, and remain so. Denise, so glad you enjoyed this. Krista, you know, when I read poetry, I read aloud. As I write poetry, I read what I've written aloud. The spoken word, especially in poetic design, can bring such a sensory awakening. Thank you so much for reading this and for your sweet response. poetFemme, so good to know this gave you something to enjoy. Thank you for reading it and for letting me know. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Claire~ What a lovely melody played through this piece. 'Listen to the open window's song the melody lingers and the notes are long' You sing/play the prettiest songs, Claire. The sounds from my harpsichord are often heard by neighbors across the lake who call and ask me to play their favorite songs. What beautiful memories you have to play. Happy Easter to you and your children. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Ah, Marge...I can almost hear it...the magical soundings of your harpsichord across the lake...such a gifting that must be for your neighbors, and for you, to know that they find such enjoyment in your playing...what a treasure! Thank you for your kindness. I hope your Easter was blessed with love and shared peace. ~ Claire |

I am spell bound in the beauty of this... A man does not love a woman because she is beautiful...But she is beautiful because he loves her. |

I have to tell you this could be a page right from my life. I can remember Rosemary coming down the stairs in the early morning light and kissig me softly on the back of my neck. But I've learned since then she had some other things on her head. Was it the music... Or did I miss it. Women are so hard to figure, but it was sure a wonderful time you've brought to rememberin. I love this. Nice and sweet, now I think I'll try for rest. Sweet dreams Meadow. Does the world go by eastern standard time. Sometimes I just drift off wandering when I should be tired. So "Morning Kiss" to the top of the list.< !signature--> If I could paint a portrait, of this life in which I've led, and somehow sketch a story, of the visions in my head, I'd start out with a canvas, stretched tightly in a frame, and in the bottom corner, I'd leave room to sign my name. Meadowmuse, I like the words that you penned from the heart. I like to listen to the notes on the wind, too. I like to listen to its whispers, for I have found that usually it is trying to tell me something. Love your poem! Trust Instinct. Instinct will keep an animal alive, but Logic can kill a man. Lucky...your memory sounds divine...reading your words about it just now gave me such pleasure. Thank you for letting me know. And though it is again of morning, sweet dreams for you as well... ACT...so glad you enjoyed this poem in the way you described. Thank you. Terry...I don't know about "charming" but I do write what whirls round in my heart. Thank you for recognizing that, and for letting me know you enjoyed this piece. ~ Claire d Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |
