Do you carrot all about me,
...my sweet potato pie?
I yam infatuated,
...lettuce turnip to the sky,
My heart beets rutabaga,
...but grits thyme to say goodbye,
I've bean hominy forever,
...for sliced onions make me cry,
Don't celery my radish,
...my heart does artichoke,
Corn is my salvation,
...Nathan Kale with honor spoke,
Okra is my favorite show,
...has mushroomed into cabbage,
Asparagus the cauliflowers,
...broccoli doesn't show its sage,
Peas forgive horrendous rhyme,
...I've squashed my feeble mind,
I drift into tomato paste,
...Brussel sprouts I cannot find.

Perusing this in the light of day, I concur with myself on the title.  Thank you all for the corny reponses to my corny poem.  At least I had the decency to leaf Pepper out of this.  As one of my all time heros so elegantly states, "Suffering Succotash!" This is hard to spinach, it ought to be eggplanted six feet under."

To those of you who developed a hunger reading this poem....  may a vegematic find your bed as you sleep tonight.  As a representative of the ASPCV...  (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Vegetables) I am shocked.
