Nothing has been changed. Everything is in its place. No one enters there. It's considered sacred space. On a child's bed is a ragged teddy bear. Solemn...grief-filled silence fills the air. Sometimes at night he creeps to the door. He peers in the room and paces the floor. But he never enters the sacred tomb that used to be his daughter's room. "That man has shown himself great who has never grieved in evil days and never bewailed his destiny." --Seneca |

TennesseeAngel~ This is very tender and touching. Too many memories for some to face. Sorrow sleeps in the heart of a father without his child. Good writing. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Tennesee Angel... You make me think with your poems. Sad thoughts of losing someone special... "But he never enters the sacred tomb that used to be his daughter's room." Loved this part, it just strings it all together... loved the read of this... -nando- Ask me how to live your life, and this to you I´ll say: make your choises true and wise, so that when tomorrow will arise, you´ll smile at yesterday... |

Netswan -- Thank you for taking the time to read my poem. Marge -- A father without is child is truly a sad thing to witness. Thanks for your kind comments. Brian -- Thank you so much! nando -- That is one of my personal goals in everything I write. I want a reader to have to think and read twice. I love when the reader ponders and attempts to figure out what the poet was thinking. Thank you for reading! Corrine -- Thank you! Praise is always best when it comes from other poets. Jessica -- I'm glad that you enjoyed it. "That man has shown himself great who has never grieved in evil days and never bewailed his destiny." --Seneca |
