There is a painting hanging on the wall.
It beckons to me, I hear its call.
As I approach I can see a scene.
Not too simple, or too extreme.

A storm is brewing within its face.
Can you tell me, where is this place?
Is it over the mountains or across the sea?
What is this painting trying to reveal to me?

There, amidst the wild waves of the thunderstorm,
A sailboat struggles alone in the storm.
There's a sense of urgency and rough waters ahead,
With wistful clouds of tears unshed.

Am I to take this as an omen?
Although, I hear no words spoken.
And so I ask you once again.
What is this message you're trying to send?

Doesn't sound good.. Maybe something good will come out of the pain, though? Best of luck

This is going to sound like I'm nuts or something...come to think of it maybe I am, no seriously I truly believe that in all types of art be it painting, poetry, pottery etc that it is brought about by our spirits and souls and that the creativity is sometimes not wholely our own that it comes from a more deeper, inner part of us, in other words I believe maybe the painting was trying to tell you something and I think creative poeple have a better insight into the spiritual world but thats just my thouhts
God I just read what I wrote and I do sound nuts, must be the full moon tonight...LOL
sorry
tracie~

Eloise~
I enjoyed the images and thoughts
you conjured up in this.

I've been 'called' to pictures before.
It is an intriguing experience.

Lovely Eloise ... so picturesque! Intriguing questions, I've never looked at it quite this way before, but when I think of what I've been inspired to place on canvas myself, they were each reflections of my emotions at that time ... well done, and thoughts I will keep in mind!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Cuddlez, tracie, Marge and Kit -- Thank you all for your replies.  These were just thoughts put on to paper after looking at a painting and contemplating.

And tracie, I don't think it was the full moon!  You're absolutely right.  I think creative people do see and read into most things a little deeper than most. Thanks for the input.
