Poets Heart burns Bright

I know you i see your heart
Deep in your words You see
                   Where are you inside me
                   A place a memory forming
How do you touch so deep
                   Woken from endless sleep
                   What words What words
                   Do you see how deep
You can touch with a line
                   A simple statement yours yours
Mine mine all who see are blessed
And still the words are sublime

What do you see in words
What do you feel in this
                   I am mere ghosts passing
I am all a light show
                   Incapable of realising
                   No thought as yours fly
No creation as makeing me cry
                   I am only darkness
                   From which light shies away
                   But your words bring into
All the shades of night and day.

Balad of the ice king Pt6 Ice Angel

                   Accross the world
                   Accross the  seas
                   The Ice king walked
                   To find loves tree

                   He sang to the mountains
And sang to birds and bees
                   Of the lonely life
                   That his travels had been

                   Through the dark lands
                   Under the seas
                   Traveled the Ice king
                   To set his heart free

                   He stood in awe
                   Of skies of gold
                   As he walked in fields
                   Sprayed with cold

                   As he travelled
                   On the air it comes
                   A voice of beauty
                   With words his own

                   He had seen much
                   And travelled the winds
                   Spoke to Eagles
                   And Fought demons and kings

                   Yet never had his heart
                   Felt the lightness of this
So he set away toward the sound
Of the angel for a kiss

                   As he approached
                   A tower loomed
                   Built of rocks
                   Instilled with gloom

                   At its height
                   The angel sang
                   In dress of white
                   And wings of satin

                   Undetered the king did climb
Up the tower to the sky
                   Passing clouds and birds
singing him on as they fly

Up and Up the king ascends
                   Past the last cloud
                   And into the heavens
                   To the angels sang aloud

Their she sat on a throne
                   His heart was lost now
                   And love filled him whole
The ice kings heart melted now

                   Their love was pure
                   Their love was strong
                   Their Rule was true
                   Their Rule was long

but having you post it here today as one of your favs makes it even more special.
And you know how i adore all your amazing ballads and story poems...they are enchanting
this one is special as you wrote it by request. But they all were so wonderful to read...they should be published all togehter as a collection.
Thank you my friend for this post today

For Walter (remember why?) *smile*

~Shining In The Darkness~

Embraced by darkness of night,
a poet searches for glimpses of light.
Finding comfort and consolation in the quiet shadows,
creating legends and myths with shades of indigo.
Cryptic and mystical, with gifted poets pen...
defines confessions of a soul, the dark places within.
Thine eyes have read behind and between the lines,
discovering the secrets hidden in verse and rhyme.
Realizing dark waters...both its depth and undertow,
the mysteries of the man...only the poet can ever know.
Though the darkness seem endless, constant and true,
the grace of your words, allows your light to shine thru.

W.P. I think this is the first time that I have had the pleasure of reading your work...I've not seen you in open...WELCOME...unless of course I've missed you and then SHAME ON ME!!

Poet Heart Burns Bright....wow, I know this feeling exactly and you have captured it to a "T"...amazing work...

I know you I see your heart
Deep in your words you see
Where are you inside me

Breathtaking work here!! I can see why it's a favorite.

Ice Angel....Once again WOW...This was such a beautiful weave, the heights that the King was willing to climb for his angel was true love at it's finest. We should all be so luck ast to have a love like this!!

Thank you for sharing these with us, I hope to see you around more...these are much to good to miss, this I say Sincerly from the bottom of my heart!!

Let me first say it is my great
pleasure to "meet" you. I don't recall
ever seeing you in open. Your writing is
tremendous. You write from such an
intense place that it leaves the writer
in a sort of trance. Both pieces hold
fantastic imagery, splendid use of words,
and overall made me smile. Thank you
so much for sharing these with us. As for
the poem you wrote about Janet...I can tell
you really are a big sweetie. M'friend
take care and I look forward to reading
more of your work in open...i hope.
take care,
amy
