Inspiration From whence comes inspiration, that shifting, wisp-o'-the-will soft sensation of thought and context and words that stream, as effervescent and gone, whiff, like a soft dream. Sneaky little concepts, spiraling out of control just as quickly as it comes, grab a pen, it goes and in its absence, a sudden, inexplicable pain, wondering if that design will even come again. Oh, mourn the loss of the utterance now gone, but pick up the pen and murmur the song, hoping again to burst forth with creation, as, from whence, comes inspiration. ©KRJ 28 August, 1999 Sunshine ~~~Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. Yes, lovely...and oh so true. They say that inspiration is 10% dedication and 90% perspiration. I believe them. Excellent writing, sunshine. |

What a lovely poem... If this is what you write when you are uninspired, boy, I can't wait until you get really inspired But my dear friend, inspiration can come from anything and often at the most unexpected times. I asked For Inspiration ~Ruth Grattan I asked for inspiration In a quiet whispered prayer The cool spring breeze it blew so hard I'm sure God didn't hear So I asked for inspiration On paper crisp and white But the summer sun was shining My words were lost in its bright light I asked for inspiration As I looked up to the sky But I found it hard to concentrate When I heard my baby's cry Then I begged for inspiration On my knees there by the sea But my message must have went unheard For God didn't answer me I asked for inspiration As the Sunday church bells rang But my pleas were simply muted out By the hymns the choir sang So I shouted from the mountain top "Where is inspiration found?" And His answer came soft to my ears "My child, simply look around" Thanks for the inspiration |
