Out of all the poems I have, some of them are very special to me. Janet, why can we only pick ONE? I thought of "The Temptress", but that one has been posted and reposted already. There was "A Faded Rose" and "Her Mask", but even though those are most definitely two of my favorites I decided to let those be for now. There was my long one about the Salem witch trials, but that was posted fairly recently.

(Sorry guys for rambling so.)

This has always been one of my favorites, since the day I wrote it...and it has been posted here under my other aliases. I know it's sort of out-of-season, but it IS very special to me!

Shining Light

At Christmas time in Bethlehem
So many years ago
God sent a light to shine day and night
And guide us, this we know.
Every year at this special time
In a winter deep and cold
We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ
And His story is told.
This light will help us all our days
In good times and in bad
From the day we are born till the day we die
Through all the troubles we've had.
Life, love, and light, a beacon
Of hope to pull us through
We need someone to guide us
In everything we do.
At Christmas time in Bethlehem
Nearly two thousand years today
God gave us a baby boy named Jesus
To guide us on our way.

PS..you could always post more under your "aliases" who would know LOL

I think I could need - this in my life
I think I'm just scared - that I know too much
I can't relate and that's a problem
I'm feeling ...
If you're gone - maybe it's time to go home
There's an awful lot of breathing room
But I can hardly move
If you're gone - baby you need to come home
cuz there's a little bit of something me...
In everything in you.
