This last rose I give to you
A symbol of my love so true
To you who once held my heart
I give you back yours
           different from the start

Your wounded heart I took in
I heard its call above the din
Took it in and held it dear
I filled it with love
           and kept it very near

Now my love, your heart is healed
To you love true is revealed
One thing now before you go
This rose gentle bird
           so my tears don't show

This is really sad but brilliant. It tells a tale that many have felt, I'm sure, both men and women. I like the way the narrator still seems to feel only love and no bitterness, a real feat!

Very soft and gentle this is Sven.  But I don't think that there is need to hide your feelings for one you held so dear to your heart.

Gentle as ever Sven, this is beautiful too...

regards, sudhir.

Hey you, out there in the cold,
Getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisle,
With itchy feet and fading smile, can you feel me?
Hey you, don't help them to bury the light.
Don't give in without a fight.
Hey you, out there on your own,
Sitting naked by the phone, would you touch me?
Hey you, with your ear against the wall,
Waiting for someone to call out, would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home....

That was a brilliant poem!  Very heart felt.  Your last two lines had a great effect on me.  when you lose someone close to you it has a tremendous effect on  a person.  I hope you are feeling better.

An absolutely wonderful poem, which I am quickly learning is always to be expected from you.  You have a real gift for conveying emotions to others.  Great Job!
