You Forgot To Tell My Heart ~*Marge Tindal*~ You told me you were leaving You said we had to part I know you told my mind but you forgot to tell my heart Suddenly you were gone with just a wave of your hand Even though you told my mind my heart didn't understand You faded from the picture like you'd never been part of all the things I dreamed of with you right from the start And if upon a daydream you should come my way Please don't tell my heart if you don't intend to stay If you should return tomorrow asking for a new start I'd probably be delighted for you forgot to tell my heart ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

"You faded from the picture like you'd never been part of all the things I dreamed of with you right from the start" This one brought back some memories Marge, well done as always. God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |

This is a wonderful poem...how often does the heart refuse to believe something. You express that so beautifully in this poem...it really moved me. Thanks for sharing, my mentor! "I know you told my mind but you forgot to tell my heart" Beautifully written Marge! I especially loved the line above, it's melodic ... music should be placed to your words, what a wonderful song this would make! Best wishes, /Kit [This message has been edited by Kit McCallum (edited 06-04-2000).] |

Lil' Lizzie~ You are always welcome, my little friend. Thank you for being YOU ! Monique~ Thank you for the reply. Pull up anchor and head for port ! Kit~ Thanks, hon. Sooooo, you've heard me singing, huh? It's surprising how many of my poems catch me through a song I just suddenly break into. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Marge, yet another beautiful poem. It's true although love may leave, it's difficult for the heart to let go, I know this feeling all too well. The first two stanzas are my favourite Love ya o' queen of poetry, Melissa Honeybee |

Marge~ Beautiful poem, my friend. Doesn't it always seem the heart is the last to know when love ends? I just love that phrase.... "you forgot to tell me heart". It is superb! This one hits close to home for me....oh the memories that come crashing back. Thanks for sharing. Absolute perfection! I loved it. "And if upon a daydream You should come my way Please don't tell my heart If you don't intend to stay" It touched my heart. Great job. |

Yeah, I know Marge...I think people forget to tell my heart quite a bit, too... Elizabeth And this I say to you: why? Why? Just tell me why, so I can understand. Why? |
