As you can probably tell, I absolutely love sunflowers, they are my all-time favourite flower and are just beautiful and unique. Please tell me which one you prefer, or if they are both okay. 1) ~SEPTEMBER SUNFLOWER HAIKU~ 5-7-5 Golden sunflower glorious September bloom standing tall with pride 2) ~SUNFLOWER DELIGHT HAIKU~ 5-7-5 Golden in unique bloom oh glorious sunflower! for my eyes delight *By Melissa Honeybee [This message has been edited by Melissa Honeybee (edited 06-03-2000).] |

Melissa~ You know I like Haiku ... now you know I like sunflowers. You've given me a double-treat of both. Thank you for sharing. I like them both. Love ya' ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Hmmm this was a hard choice. I admire people who can write haikus because i can't. i also like sunflowers. i think though that i like your first one better. something about the standing tall with pride really struck a chord with me. but both pieces are lovely! amy "Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is before you can meet again. And meeting again after a moment or a lifetime is certain for those who are friends." "Fate exists but it can only take you so far, Because once you're there It's up to you to make it happen." |

Melissa~ You've done well with both, they are both very beautiful in my eyes. I love Haikus (can't do them myself) and sunflowers so this is a treat Tracie~ Love is the life of the soul... It is the harmony of the universe |

Marge kindly pointed out to me that the first line of the second haiku is 6 syllables long instead of 5, so the new change is: golden unique bloom oh glorious sunflower! for my eyes delight *Thanks again Marge! |
