Today, I watched a young man take a wrong turn. I observed as he dug his hole and crawled deep inside it. I who held out my hand and tried to guide him saw him lie and cheat and get away with it. He learned a sad but true lesson, in a world where principles are too great a burden to bear. Heroes take drugs, beat their wives, kill and go free he just cheated on a test...just...cheated. |

Very thought-provoking Jana. One does not get far in this life by cheating ... temporary break maybe, but it will always come back to haunt them in one form or another ... good thoughts here. Best wishes, /Kit |

Jana~ An interesting poem. Our conduct in our daily lives draw lines that parallel our future ... My grandmother used to sum it up thusly - 'When you cheat ... you only cheat yourself. Then it becomes a habit you cannot break.' Enjoyed the read. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Hero's are someone special that can be looked up to as a good example. Wonderful message...it all starts with the small things and grows from there. James |
