Out of no where, it hits Uncontrollable fits Blasting through like a train- Fast racing heart Palpitations now start Unbearable, acute chest pain- Muscles ever tense Vision is so dense Breathlessness now begins- Feeling dizzy and weak With a feverish cheek Sensations of needles and pins- Sweaty and hot Trembling non-stop Can’t stop hyperventilation- Vision now tunnel Looking through a funnel Feelings of depersonalization- An end is in sight Put an end to this fight As fast as it came, it went- Over once more I hit the floor Mind and body totally spent- My turbulent ride I can not hide No cure for me in sight- So I just sit and wait As if it were fate For my next frightful flight- ~Sheri |

Netswan, Sven, Spitfire, Michael..... Thank you all for you comments. I found this is one way for me to deal with. Though, I don't get them often, it's still very scary. Even once is enough! Thanks again to you all! ~Sheri |

I have been close to someone who has experienced this. I hadn't been able to understand how it felt, until now! thankyou! A very powerful description! God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |

Hi Irie This is an excellent representation of anxiety over future. I've felt it many days. But I pray and meditate and it brings me a lot of solace and comfort. Life goes on. Sincerely A_L |

Hey A_L! < !signature-->Thanks for your reply. Sounds like something I need to do for myself. I have been in quite the "Panic" state lately. I do believe it's fear of loss and no control. Thanks for your kind words! ~Sheri [This message has been edited by Irie (edited 06-07-2000).] |

Sheri - This was about PANIC attacks??? *blush* I thought it was about ... about... well, you know.... Hey-y-y-y! It WAS a good description. It could very easily describe other moments of uncontrollable responses *self-righteous nods* How was I to know??? Either way - it was still a good piece of writing. I like the style, too. |
