lovely legal tender
you have friends because you spend
are they there when you don't lend
on you, do they depend?
hungry for your love
or hungry for your worth
had you in my corner
since the day of my birth
never misused you or abused you
I hid you safely
even brought myself a gun
just for your safety
accumulated more of your kind
so that you wouldn't get lonely
I even let you play the stocks
To benefit us only
but you took everthing we had
and brought our relationship to an end
now people burn you, mistreat you,
rip you, stick you, and loose you
but still you think they're your friends

Interesting twist on the subject.   I'll be looking for more.

Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau"

Hmm...can money have friends? I don't know...I bet I could be friends with some if they'd only stick around long enough. Seems like I earn it and poof! it goes trotting off to some bill collector. Fickle fives!
