Swept along like sand in wind
My heart moves through the night
Hoping it will stop again
In its weary flight.

Across the land and over sea
It flits in endless drifting
Away from her and away from me
Like sands through hourglass sifting.

What did she say?  What were the words
That caused my heart to leave?
It's gone now, left me cold and hurt
Bleeding from my sleeve.

My heart is sweeps across the plains
Like dirt blown in the wind
And without it here my soul remains
Never to love again.

Knowlege tempered by wisdom...Wisdom tamed by youth.

RS,

Ouch to this....sorry to hear of your misfortune.  I hope that your heart does find love again and that you realize the right person for you will come along some day.  Great writing!!

I love the imagery you painted with this sad tale...the winds blowing etc.  Painfully beautiful is all I can think to say.  Glad to see you posting bro.
