ANGEL The whisper of your memory Dances across my mind Some people don’t understand How you’ve touched my life But you showed me more Than other people ever could You showed me hope You showed me how to be brave Smiling through your pain Always offering a kind hand Always offering words of care Never complaining or faltering I know you look down on us now Not with sadness of being gone But with peace and love Watching over us With the memory of you Forever embedded in our hearts |

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am still trying to figure all this out, so please be patient. I'm glad you liked my poem. It was written for a very special friend that I met online. She passed away about 2 months ago of cancer. I was on my way to work the day after and was thinking of her. I jotted this down on a piece of scrap paper beore I went in. It is one of my favorite poems. |
