I'm just full of curiosity
You know the kind killed the kitty
Why is the sky blue and not pure gold?
As are the heavens as we're told

To Golden Arches for my burger
To Whataburger for my fries
Then Sonic for a slushy drink
And Wendy's frosty Biggie sized

Why isn't fast food fast anymore?
Why can't I count all my chickens?
Why can't I use a nuke as parachute?
And go out loudly like Slim Pickens

Why can't I learn to love the bomb?
When my poems bomb I do not cry
If I find a needle in a haystack
Why must I still have to thread the eye?

Why is crochet just for women?
Why is the presidency for men?
Might we see wicked stitchery
And our dollars become a yen ?

If you thought I was just kidding
The curious cat I have no pity
She drank from the mysterious puddle
Now she's one anti-brain-freezed-kitty

in a canyon in a cavern excavatin for a mine
dwelt a miner forty niner and his daughter clemintine!!! yeehaw!

Walt - could this poem be the result of long-term use of skateboards without a helmet???  lol - you are incredibly unique, my friend.

Forget the "different drummer" stuff. You march to the tune of a whole different orchestra!!!

Love it, Walt!

This slightly off-kilter view of all things fast-slow and switched on-off is amazing.  What an eye!  Keep scanning.  Can't wait to get the next version of life in the stilted lane.

Walt,

Thanks for the laugh!!  Just loved the title and had to read and see what it was all about.  Hope that wasn't your kitty!!

Great writing!

I always enjoy your poems. You have a great sense of humor as well as being solemn.
