Letter From Home A warm and gentle passage In a letter sent from home Will warm your heart forever Regardless where you roam A simple little loving thought Directed to your heart Can keep the inner peace alive When all else falls apart And the timing of the letter Sometimes makes you wonder how Your loved ones knew you needed them To turn your life around Just a simple little passage Scrolled on paper from the drawer Is a lifeline to your principles And all that's gone before It’s the calling of the spirit Drifting far across the sea It’s the love within a mother’s heart That never sets you free It knows when you are troubled And your future path unknown And it writes a gentle passage In a letter sent from home Elizabeth Santos |

Elizabeth, my gentle friend~ And you have perhaps known that I've kept EVERY letter and card I've EVER received since the age of eight ! Talk about sentimental ... what delight they give me ... still. An adorably nostalgic poem. Nothing better than a postal smile. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

It’s the calling of the spirit Drifting far across the sea It’s the love within a mother’s heart That never sets you free ******** Liz, very touching words....I still haven't stayed away from my family for too long, but now I know what it would be like..... shilpi |

Direction, Is surely God given... and He's given so much to you. I truly love writing you notes and letters and such, and it doesn't matter what you say... you see I love you... and God so told me to... but what's even better, I very much like you..! God Bless... Much Love, Dale |

so true and so touching. truth seems to be no matter what there is no place like home, and a letter from our loved ones always helps to pick us up in times of despair. lovely poem keep up the wonderful work. P. J. Kotrch carpe diem A soul once touched is a soul once blessed by love |

Very true, Liz. The same could be said about a poem that seems to appear just in time to touch someone....as yours always do. |

Liz This is such a fine, fine poem - the message seems so simple when you write - it makes me want to send you a letter - and even send one to lil Lorelei (yes, I know we live together). I feel so fortunate to have met you, and to have been given the opportunity to read a little of your amazing, wonderful life. |
