Upon the bluffs tinged in green I gaze over the ocean's light Memories fly in drops of gold O'er a moonless night. Outstretched limbs reach above To capture feathered clouds I fly to caress my destiny But land on a steeled shroud. Whispered words dance around And trace my tearstained face The kiss of you does beckon me To break free of this place. Eternity softens with your touch And grace wraps in white I sense the flutter of your soul And soon you are in sight. An angel clad in darkened light Now faithful by my side We stand beneath the moonless sky And in the ocean's light confide. *Krista Knutson* ~The darkest midnight is only a prelude to the most enrapturing dawn~ |

Oh, Krista~ Reminds me of a lighthouse beacon ... calling those to her light. Lovely, lovely. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Krissa! Wow! Yay for Krista! That was another beautiful poem. I love the way you always seem to encorporate the night. It gives it a mystical effect to it! Nicely done! Ohhh... Now I really love this... You add in the night and you have me hooked. Loved phrase like "steeled shroud" and "An angel clad in darkened light." The latter brings a sharp picture to my mind and I like it much... Excellent poem Krista! So many poems of yours have been centered around love lately.. hmmm...? walt- thank ya much! Marge- I do believe that's what I'm trying to do...call people to my light..the question is, is my light bright enough to call people to? Dark angel- Thank you! Kit- I'm glad you could feel it. If I can make one person feel how I felt when I wrote it, then I've done my job. Cassers- Like you, I love the night..I'm glad you can enjoy how I try to put it into my poetry. Dusk- somehow I thought you'd like those lines. And all my poems about love lately, eh? Part wishing, part hoping, part dreaming, part believing...but the question is, are they inspired by someone in real life, or just my dreams? I'll leave that up to you to decide. (oh how I love to make you ponder! hehe) *Krista Knutson* ~The darkest midnight is only a prelude to the most enrapturing dawn~ |
