When I was born, the usher handed me A ticket to come in and see the show. I passed through doors with curiosity And innocence newborn alone can know. By childhood the concession stand was near. The popcorn filled my nostrils with delight. I sampled every treat as it appeared And savored fully each delicious bite. At puberty, theater doors swung wide. Anticipation set my face aglow. Through darkened doorways I then stepped inside To find a comfy seat to watch the show. My manhood had begun. I walked the aisle. I greeted people as I passed them by. To pretty ladies I would give a smile And always with a twinkle in my eye. I did my best to step on no one's toes. With courteous but steady steps I trod, Made many friends there seated in the rows And always kept a strong belief in God. Now, in old age, I've finally reached my seat So here I sit, right up in this front row. My journey has now come to be complete... I'm ready, Maker. Let's begin the show. |

It's Intermission ! *You, master of the theatre ... this is a wonderful show ! I want to see the sequel ! I want to see the Coming Attractions, too ! Love you~ ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

You've struck a chord with me here, sir. I am a movie addict! I'll see two movies a weekend if I can and have been known to actually see 3 in one day (a marathon for moles). This is a wonderful way to look at life (except the old age part I don't think you're ready yet for the movie to start!). As always, you've given me food for thought. |

What a First Run poem! (and I didn't even need my 3~D glasses to read it!) Exceptional writing, Balladeer ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

a wonderful unique and very clever poem, I hope the movie was good, is it worth seeing? no seriously fantastic poem, loved the images and the metaphor. ------------------------ "Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too? " Douglas Adams. "Here chewing your tail is joy" Richey Edwards "Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time". Baltimore Grotto "Do not listen to a word I say Just listen to what I can keep silent" Nicky Wire |

My journey has now come to be complete... I'm ready, Maker. Let's begin the show. ------ This is brilliant depiction of your strength of character, and attitude, Balladeer. ------- I have walked all the steps, climbed the hills, Walked by the rivers, wide, often seen the sun set, shrill, Please begin the Final Countdown, Father, For I am now prepared, to be taken on this last merry-go-round. Regards, sudhir. Life is like a painting, That in an art gallery is left hanging, Though many come just to look at it, A very few actually come to enjoy it. |
