The Gathering

It's the gathering of the evils
haunting my nights,
speeding life won't lose them,
they've taken all my lights.
They hide and lurk and scour the earth,
they watch me from a distance.
Their eyes setting my clothes on fire,
they are immune to my resistance.
I continue with a pounding chest,
feeling rushed, hearing them there.
Who else should know,
will see the burning they are causing here?
They demand so much from all of me,
they boil my blood and blister my skin.
They consume my every thought,
and fill my mind with evil sin.
They rob me of my precious sleep,
and turn my eyes a gray,
they suck the life from every vein
and wash my hope away.

*Oooppps....meant to post this in dark,..forgot where I was when I hit new post. *Sorry for the dark content.

Not to worry spit fire I should be the one posting in dark. Well your poem sent a shiver down my spine,
they've taken all my lights.
They hide and lurk and scour the earth,
they watch me from a distance.
Their eyes setting my clothes on fire,
they are immune to my resistance.
I continue with a pounding chest,

I hope that these nightmares vanish forever with the light of dawn

They rob me of my precious sleep,
and turn my eyes a gray,
they suck the life from every vein
and wash my hope away.

a great poem.

Wow!  What else is there to say!  Maybe unbelievable is a better word to use.  The creativety that you have.  The verses flow in such a sullen mood.  Wow!

~Brian,...thank you pal, for reading...and for always taking the time.  Oh yeah,...and thank you for hoping they vanish...you are too kind.

~Rhavin,...unbelievable???...you are too much.  hehe...too generous in your reply.
Thank you for that.
