Little dove with broken wing Why you're not quite pristine? Fly away I might have said That made you hang low your head I hold you dove with broken wing And still a peace you can bring Nestle you close and feel I’m freed That I have done some noble deed Why you dove with broken wing Not wander to some tyrant king You look at me with charcoal eyes I'll claim that you cannot despise Why you dove with broken wing Do not cry from awful sting Could it be that you’re too proud? Fly and find a weeping cloud I’m sad you dove have broken wing I only wish I’d heard you sing For your guidance I might beseech But you have died and cannot teach Oh, my Dove I hear the wind Whisper words from mighty men That you are broken yet you live Please my Lord wilt thou forgive [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 05-25-2000).] |
