The air teems
The clouds fill
The rain falls
it's very rhythm whispering the promise

The night dark
The stars twinkle
The moon hidden
ready to show the depth of the promise

The sun glows
The rays cascade
The wind speaks
in it's voice the words of the promise

The heart beats
The soul hears
The body feels
     the promise of you

Searching for a heart to call my home
So glad that I found it in your own
The promise of love
     The promise of life
          The promise of joy
               The promise. . . of you. . .

Sven....when it comes to weaving the words you are one of the masters I think.

God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown

This very soft and romantic Sven.  After such a beautiful poem I would certainly make her keep her promise.  After all......

Sven, this was done with beauty and romance, flowing from the heart in your pen. Very nice read.

Nice poem, Sven.  Isn't it also a song?  Perhaps you had some inspiration on this one...

Great writing...
