And He, Will Wipe Your Tears Gone are days of youth A past that can’t be tossed There will always be the truth And I have paid the cost In eyes of Caribbean blue There is a pain beyond repair I don’t know why it started For a girl living in a lion’s lair I know, it will be hard But what if, I learn to forgive Perhaps I will find within I have a lot to give Justice, I believe Comes not from a courtroom But from His judgment When He places them to tomb Hold Him in your heart Placed with all that is dear Rest assured, He has heard you And He, will wipe yours tears Marina Apr. 2000 [This message has been edited by Marina (edited 04-19-2000).] |

Gone are days of youth ***A past that can’t be tossed There will always be the truth And I have paid the cost*** In eyes of Caribbean blue There is a pain beyond repair I don’t why it started For a girl living in a lion’s lair ------------------ honest and excellent Marina... so many times when we are lost...our faith will be our port in the storm... beautiful poem, my poetic friend. take care, jm Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders And it makes me want to touch you there. And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind... The wind and your love to carry me. vertical horizon |

Marina, this is lovely. And, writing is a great way to start the healing --- I never forgave my stepfather, and still my mother's visits bring her failure to protect me, flooding back. Though I have forgiven her the best that I can, I still sometimes, get sooooooooooooo maaaaaaaaad! Forgiveness is not easy. But, when he died recently - I didn't go to my sister's celebration -- I didn't think he deserved even that acknowledgement of existence. netswan |

Very cool. Challenge well met "The storm rises up when the shadows descend every beat of my heart every day without end I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break till theres no more to give if thats what it takes I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed I will lay down my life if thats what you need every second I live thats the promise I make" I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =) |

I like this one because it shows a light at the end of the tunnel. All too often, abusers go unpunished in this life. Sooner or later, they will pay the consequences. |

i really like this...besides revealing her(?) pain and anguish, she has also come to terms with herself and with Lord, something that doesn't happen often in real life unfortunately.... Great work ") [This message has been edited by kaile (edited 04-20-2000).] |

Thank you to everyone....I truly mean it. This poem I wrote actaully in my opinion, as the light at the end of our long tunnel. ( as Tara mentioned above) I do believe we may never get the answers we want or desreve, nor for a great deal of us, ever get the justice we deserve. For me, I have tried to forgive. Please understand I am not saying forget here, just to release some anger and let my soul and mind heal. Certainly my forgiveness was never completely for my abuser, but selfishly for myself. I needed to find me agian, and to know that I do deserve love and everything that life has to offer. I don't belong to any church or religious group. I just know what's in my heart. I can't tell you He is the only answer, but if you'll pardon the wording.....He's a Hell of a good start!!! Marina |
