Running down the street Trying to be set free Of all the pain inside That has become me But why does it follow And grasp onto my heals No one understands me Or see's the pain I feel At times a simple hug Could possibly do the trick But yet I hit a wall A wall made of bricks So here I am today Feeling as lousy as can be With all the doubt and pity Oh why do I have to be me? I do not love you for being perfect..... I love you for being perfect for me!! |

"No one understands me Or see's the pain I feel At times a simple hug Could possibly do the trick But yet I hit a wall" We all feel this way at times during our life but you must not let the pain take over. very good poem. Well-said! Sometimes a hug will suffice.... "squeeeze!" ^_^ Amanda Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate, Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date. Sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimmed; And every fair from fair sometimes declines, By chance or nature's changing course, untrimmed. But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st; Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st. So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee. William Shakespeare |

You are you because only you can know the things that you know. . . only you can learn from the things that happen to you and only you can make your life better. . . sounds strange, but that's why you're you. . . This is an excellent poem, full of the questions that we all ask ourselves every day. . . Well done. . . ------------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
