You Said It Best ~*Marge Tindal*~ You said it best when you said goodbye Left without leaving no reason to cry Memories remain to pool in the eye Brimming over lashes caught in deny Trickling down absorbed in cheap tissue Reasons don't matter it's not even the issue No more indifference No more ridicule No more playing by someone else's rules No flowers No Encore No rave reviews It's over Final Act We've both paid the dues Circumstance commands we give our all You said it best Goodbye Curtain falls ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

This is a lot sadder than the stuff I am used to by you Marge. I am sorry for you for whatever inspired this poem. It is very well written, I like the parallel to a play in it. |

Mistik~ Hon, thank you for your concern. Not necessary, but appreciated just the same. It was written for a very melodramatic friend who is truly the 'greatest actress' on the 'stage of life' ... It's simply a - Ponder Of Emerging Melodrama Love you for thinking of me. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Obviously a fantasy. No man in his right mind could ever say goodbye to you, Marge. (You really use cheap tissues?) |

marge-- this was much different than the style i am use to seeing from you, however i still liked it very much! you show your true talents in this one as a diverse writer of many unique styles. whether you are right about love, hope, or in this case losing someone you do it with such grace and elegance. i admire you and hope that you get through this rough spot in your life. i know it is hard but you appear very strong from the way you write. take care and much love, amy ~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~ |

Ethan~ Love, it wasn't a 'vent' ... it was for a friend. Read replies above/below. Glad you enjoyed it ... very theatrical I am ! BrianM~ Thank you .. thank you .. thank you. Balladeer~ Not a fantasy ... just not my 'play'. Aren't you glad you didn't buy tickets ? Love you doll ! LOL at 'cheap tissues' ... actually at this theatre it's all they provide. Kind of like the ones at a funeral parlor. Aimster~ It's simply a - Ponder Of Emerging Melodrama for a friend 'on stage'. Thank you for all the nice compliments and the concern. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Very well done, Marge... one of my favorites from you... love the metaphor... makes for doubled layer meanings and a powerful punch these are great lines here: "No flowers No Encore No rave reviews It's over Final Act" fine writing! -dp |

LoneWolf~ Thank you. It would seem that all the world is indeed a stage ... and we play our parts through dramatic scenes. Doreen~ I appreciate your comments more than you could know. Thank you. Mariee~ Thank you my friend. You brighten my world. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Marge glad I read the other posts as I was feeling very sad for you and thought Oh Marge must be going through a very tough time after reading the poem. Then I read your replies and that cleared everything up. HUGS anyway Tracie~ Love is the life of the soul... It is the harmony of the universe |

Thanks for 'versatility' ... important to me. Tracie~ I LOVE a REPLY reader .. I'm one too. Glad you were concerned about me though. Someone else's heartache this round.
