Dawn Yearning light, Breaking dawn, Shadows stilled, Withered, begone. Harking song of sweetness bright Where dewdrops play in heavenly light Yearning night, Without fright, Dancing waves, Of fading sight. Salute the mysteries hidden abound Within thyself and all around ^_^ Amanda Piatt aka LadySofia "To the innocent and ancient ones, the sparks which light our fires." Amanda Piatt |

Amanda...lovely verse! The mysteries within thyself and all around...indeed... ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Dear Claire, Your vivid poem still in my heart doth lie. Thank you ! Represented in this way...the mysteries of dawn and dusk mirror the ever-changing cycles within ourselves. ^_^ LadySofia That time of year thou mayst in me behold, When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang, Upon those boughs which shake against the cold, Bare ruined choirs where late the sweet birds sang. In me thou see'st the twilight of such day, As after sunset fadeth in the west, Which by-and-by black night doth take away, Death's second self that seals up all in rest. In me thou see'st the glowing of such fire, That on the ashes of his youth doth lie, As the deathbed whereon it must expire, Consumed with that which it was nourished by. This thou perciev'st, which makes thy love more strong, To love that well which thou must leave ere long. William Shakespeare |

LadySofia~ Astonishing insight to the dawning within us. Glows with the light for sure. Dusk is but the serenity of our dawn at rest. I greatly enjoyed the images you presented here. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Well Poet deVine, I'm not quite sure I understood the challenge. It's only my second time doing one. When you said phrases, I thought you may have wanted enough for an idea, which is normally what I do when writer's block hits me. Marge, you are right when you say "the dawning within us". That is exactly what I was aiming at! ![]() Marty, thank you, and thank you all ![]() ^_^ Amanda That time of year thou mayst in me behold, When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang, Upon those boughs which shake against the cold, Bare ruined choirs where late the sweet birds sang.
