Your eyes have kissed the sky and there is noway Im going to hide from you this time. Open the book turn a page there in parchment a picture of you and I our smiles seeds planted in the earth, our hands are pressed together palms touching submission perhaps permission perhaps to be as one for once. I marvel at the feel of you against me light as snow on my lashes, you lay on my eyes and tell me all the world. The book closes, but there you are for real strolling in the middle distance, and I love the way you move. I reach out across time space and find the place where I can stand beside you. I run your hair through my hands it glides like woven strands, and you are falling sunlight on me. I'll never hold you forever, and its ok if I dont think about it too much as the dusk demands the day away, I'll take the time I have you and thank each word we share, each smile we give, and you know I love you dont you. You start to exit my sight, but I cannot complain you touched me and Im never going to be the same. |
