I used to swear you were an angel,
Showing me Heaven,
Through stained-glass windows.
Ever so pure.
But clouds intercepted the sunlight streaming,
Confusion cleared my vision,
And I saw the bitter truth.
I pulled away your mask,
That heavenly angel face.
And dust was blown from the clouded,
Stained windows.
Revealing hidden secrets,
And unexplainable deceit.
I shudder with the realization,
Of being betrayed,
By an angel.

LOve is blind, I am sorry for your pain and betrayal. I enjoyed reading your poem, but don't give up some angels are genuine and I am sure there is one out there waiting for you.

Hi there,
I am new to this, but this poem grabbed me deep down where tissues cannot reach. THe heart. It was so sad, yet such a true situation in life. I once thought I had an angel too. But dont worry, there are plenty of true ones out there, just look at me, I finally found one without a mask!!

My friend,I too was betrayed by an angel recently and I understand how it feels.  The hurt, the disappointment and the heartbreak. Good luck on finding other angels.
