Another day gone, noone to call my own nightly hours spent, mostly alone meeting strangers with empty faces looking for love in all the wrong places hoping for the day, praying to find someone with passion and a heart that's kind a willing soul to trust and to share bad with the good, always being there Is it a dream, what i'm looking for? or a reality, not just another score a hand to hold, seeing with kind eyes willing to be there to watch the moon rise must i play the game, follow the rules and march in step with other loveless fools why me, why should anyone care? for my lonely heart with a soul to bare Is it asking too much, to share our dreams in an untrusting world, to few takers it seems so on with the game, make the right moves who knows, it's time my luck improves now i'm out the door on my earthly quest seeking an angel's touch, and a place to rest and if you hear, what my heart has to say may i have this dance, dreams come what may ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

This poem is very sad seeing your lonliness crying out in it. I believe there truly is someone out there for everyone, and I hope yours is close to being found. You did a nice job on this poem, I enjoyed it. |

Is it asking too much, to share our dreams in an untrusting world, to few takers it seems so on with the game, make the right moves who knows, it's time my luck improves now i'm out the door on my earthly quest seeking an angel's touch, and a place to rest and if you hear, what my heart has to say may i have this dance, dreams come what may --------- danny... this is a beautiful poem... so very well written and the ryhme is perfect I love when you write like this.. save a dance for me on that dance card of yours...I know it will fill up fast...  later BEH-gator BEG |

Oh how true the words you write. Sometimes the search may be long and lonely but when you find "the one to call your own" you will relize the search was well worth it. |

Many thanks to all who have responded with your kind and concerned comments. I'm not as lovelorn now as this poem would seem. I realize there is a lot of poetry posted each day in Passions and we have just so much time and can't read everything. I appreciate each of you who have chosen to read mine. You know, I think the love bug is smarter than we give him credit for. It seems he makes us wait until we're near miserable to send someone special our way....I think there's a reason for that. If love were around every corner, we wouldn't appreciate it so much when it is in our lives. We would start to take it for granted, and it wouldn't be so special to us....you know? When you're starving, a mere piece of bread tastes darn good!  Pass me a loaf, would ya? I'm glad I found this one Danny, well written indeed A few people have said it and I've found it to be true.... Love will find you when you least expect it. I don't know HOW it works, but it seems to. Maybe it's to do with attitude... if you're so busy looking for love, then you don't see the actual person and don't relax enough about them? just a theory *shrug* Best wishes, Eric. |
