WindSong

Sweet, cool, dew covered grass 'neath my feet
I stand under the soft silvery glow of moonlight
The warm summer air begins to gently stir
As I turn my eyes upward to the velvet sky of midnight.

A slow, warm breeze pours out of the West
And caresses my face with tender care
Singing tales of lands so far away
Into my eagerly attentive ear.

Stories of heroes and champions mighty
Of Kings and Queens long lost in time
Ballads of honor and courage and love
Beautifully set to the sweet wind's rhyme.

I close my eyes and listen to the whispers
Carried my way on winds so strong
They outlast time itself and bring
The beauty of the never ending WindSong.

JanetMarie~
Thank you, dear!   I am glad that you enjoyed it!  You know, I really think I like it better every time I read it.  It just came to me in one of those "wandering mood" nights.

Oh, sweetheart ... the 'wandering' winds
knew which heart to lay this wonder in ...
it's just lovely.
Always listen to the whispers .... shhhhh !
