MILKWEED AND SUNSHINE < !signature-->The piper plays the tune, Asleep on my pillow I dream I'm not falling apart. By lure of a silk moon Weeps the silver willow, Ah, the Seamstress of My Heart. With a soft midnight breeze, Clouds highlighted in blue, Softly sing of her mystery. A whisper from the trees, By the kiss of night's dew, I follow the path set for me. A land of leprechauns, Through magic of Nightshade, My soul now bared before all. Knightless Lords, useless pawns, My heart laid to the glade, I know my place, so I crawl. Seven wishes skyward, On milkweed and sunshine I cast hope to the morning sky. Therein given reward A dagger to the spine. I open my eyes but to die. Sickly sweet, sycamore Celestial nymph gone A will-o'-the-wisp through the trees. Heretofore nevermore Shall I dream by the dawn Of this Love I ne'er could appease. By the thunder riven Torrents of a bleak sky, Darkness hath rendered me a throne. False prophecy given O' Seamstress of the Lie, In pieces your Prince dies alone. Michael Anderson For all behind was dark and drear, And all before was night and fear. How many hours of night or day In those suspended pangs I lay, I could not tell; I scarcely knew If this were human breath I drew. Nay, My Beloved Prince not die--- for I have magic in my sighs--- Remove a thorn of love too sweet, incantate the whisper'd beat-- spark a flame, remove all blame. let the fire take the heat. Sorry, Michael, I swear I'm going to stop this--just incredibly inspirational these days....lol. Love to ya. |

I love this one, Michael.. The entire poem is great, of course - My favorite lines, though are: Weeps the silver willow, Ah, the Seamstress of My Heart." [This message has been edited by Nan (edited 04-19-2000).] |

And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind... The wind and your love to carry me. vertical horizon [This message has been edited by Janet Marie (edited 04-19-2000).] |

As for that last line, I doubt you'll ever die alone Michael...you're loved by too many... I sense your deepest meaning dear, appease is not the word... Beautiful might be... Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

I do believe that I will have to agree with Devina on this one. . . I don't think that you'll ever die alone. . .unless you push everyone out of your life. . .and even then, I don't think that that will do it. . . Excellent poem my friend. . . ----------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
