Wisconsin Star

To a special friend who lives so far away
From my heart to yours, I hope to say
How Blessed I’ve been since I met you
A soul from heaven with a heart so true

You reside up north in “Santa’s” state
Yet found your way to me by a hand of fate
To touch my heart and let me see
That grace and beauty still exist in humanity

How lucky I am to have found such a soul
One who enriches my life and makes it whole
For I could circle this globe from end to end
And never find as beautiful a friend

Within you resides a most special gift
One which allows you to touch and gently lift
The heart’s of those who pass your way
How rich their lives must be each day!

With each new dawn I just seem to find
Visions of you my friend, etched upon my mind
And as I journey through life to destination’s unknown
With you safe in my heart, I know I’m never alone

Now as the sun says goodnight to the western sky
And the stars shine brightly in the heaven’s so high
Just look on our front porch, for there I can be found
In the arms of an angel, so safe and sound

The end……

Tincan~~~~

That was a beautiful poem.     I especially liked the line..."Now as the sun says goodnight to the western sky And the stars shine brightly in the heaven’s so high"

Just beautiful.

Beautiful poem Tincan...so heartfelt and loving.  I'm from Wisconsin myself....haven't seen Santa yet though...lol.  Thank you for sharing your heart.  That is one very lucky Wisconsonite!

Thank you so very much to everyone who took the time to comment, they are very much appreciated   The individual for whom this poem was written is very important to me, in some small way I hoped I was able to say "thank you" to her for making my life so much better. Much peace and happiness to all of you!
