                   Pamela

I didn't hear your footsteps, approaching from afar.
I didn't hear your soft voice call my name.
I didn't hear the music of your laughter, on the wind.
I didn't hear you coming - but you came.

I didn't see the sparkle of the sunlight, on your hair.
I didn't see the twinkle in your eyes.
I didn't see the moonbeams, as they played across your face.
I didn't see the light, 'til you arrived.

I didn't know that daily life could be a waking dream.
I didn't know that wishes could come true.
I didn't know that Heaven could be found upon the earth.
I didn't know sheer joy, 'til I met you.

I thank you for the many gifts your heart has given mine.
I love you more with every passing day.
And, now, I hear and see and know the meaning of true peace,
For you have come into my soul, to stay.

Denise - thanks!  It still doesn't do her justice, though.

Nan - thank you, from both of us!  And Happy Mother's Day to you, as well!

Thanks for the kind words, ladies!

And incredibly beautiful poem about a love which must be equally lovely.  Wow!  I wish I could say it as well!  Congratulations to you both!
