Mom ~~~ A seed was planted long ago by loving caring hands With grace of god and tender care it grew from blessed sands ~ Our family tree you nourished with love and understanding The task at hand you met with grace though taxing and demanding ~ Our branches grew so straight and strong Your efforts plain to see A multitude of fragrant blooms each year we give to thee ~ We reminisce with sentiment emotions overcome No card no flower no spoken word can thank the lord for Mom ~~~ |

Beautifully simple. I love it. Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |

Thankyou everyone for the beautiful replies ... I wrote this to give to my mother along with some flowers and a dinner engagement ... posting it was not really my initial intent ... but noticed there were a few others posted so I added this to the collection Thanks again |

Thankyou vandana ... there are a multitude of the worlds best amature poets that gather here at passions ... with more dropping in each day ... I love to sit and read ... at no monitary cost ... and I couldn't find better poetry in any store bought book ... I wish I had the time to read and reply to more ... especially the replies are of great importance to a writer and I thankyou for yours ... I post in other forums where I get no replies, but it does show the hit count for each poem ... some are in the hundreds ... so to those who don't get many replies ... remember that a lot more people read than do reply ... thanks to everyone again for your kindness and Happy Mothers Day to all |
