I Must Have Been Dreaming ~*Marge Tindal*~ You must have been a dream, I was just waking up from. The words you whispered in my ear linger fresh upon my tongue. Remembering the moment, I wasn't so sure was a dream. It all was so real or so it would seem. Did you kiss my lips ? Did you whisper in my ear ? Did you lay your body close, saying things I wanted to hear ? Why was the dream so real ? I'd swear that you were here. Darling, come again into my dream world, so I can hold you near. I was certain I must have been dreaming, until you called to say, 'I had the nicest dream of you. Thanks for the smile I wear today.' Was it a dream ? Marge (it IS Marge this time, right?), I think it was a beautiful piece. Nice, fresh idea to come from. I haven't tried writing from the dream aspect yet (never thought about it frankly). I love the way you put it together. A really lovely poem. j. |

Hey, Marge, that wasn't any dream. You had a date with that Jim Beam! You held him to your lips all night Smiled as he filled you with delight. Your whole world disappeared from view The moment that he entered you You grabbed his neck and held him high And, by the morn, you drained him dry. Last week Jack Daniels was your guy But now you've left him high and dry If you don't change your evil way Your fiancee will be Ben Gay!!!!!! |
