Soul Revelation I see you ~naked~ before me having ~stripped~ the mask behind which you hide You ~tremble~ beneath my gaze Am I so harsh a critic? Soft eyes alight ~dancing~ over tender parts of you: the heart that longs for mine romantic ways that charm words that touch my being Joy rings in my laughter ~thrilled~ to meet my match: spontaneous by nature responsible by design untamed through it all Cover your ~nakedness~ no more I have seen ~all~ that matters I’ve seen you. |

Tara~ Very appealing. Very 'revealing' ... enjoyed the beauty of it very much. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Thank you, ladies. I wrote this in response to a poem a "love interest" (for lack of a better word) wrote for me. It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley |

Beautiful. Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |

I have been fortunate to have a "soul revelation" with two people, my closest friends in the whole world. It is such a wonderful feeling to able to share totally with someone, to gaze into their souls and have them gaze into yours and not have to wear a mask or keep up your defences. Your poem was beautiful, very tranquil. |

Thank you for your replies! He is someone I've met online. We've been corresponding through emails and talking on the phone for over a year now. We've been trying to meet each other for quite a while but with our busy schedules, and the fact that we are about 5 hours away from each other, it's been difficult to do. He's expressed some trepidation as to whether or not he'll stand up to my expectations. This is my way of letting him know that looks aren't important to me. It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley |
