It’s starting again, I wish it would cease This feeling of hope breaking my peace Just when I was content and ready to heal You walk in with laughter and loving zeal I don’t want to wonder where this will go I don’t want to feel and I don’t want to know I reach for the past and look to remind That’s where this will go...I’m not blind I don’t want to love you and don’t want to care You’ll leave in the end and my embrace will be bare Alone to pick up the shattered remains I fight off the hope and my control drains So stay where you are and don’t let me hope once more For my heart can’t take this.... so I’ve locked the door [This message has been edited by Butterflies_dont_cry (edited 05-11-2000).] |

My dear sweet butterly ----here is the key to that door ----life is precious and one never knows when it shall end. Take each precious moment and learn to trust again. Beautiful poem, by the way --) Hugs from netswan |

Truly beautiful, B.D.C. Wonderfully put. Have you tried reading it without the word "for" in the last line? Just a thought. Remember...for every love lost, there's a dozen more waiting to share your heart, and you'll never find "the one" if you lock them all out. |

true love does not imprison or chain, it allows a heart to breathe again. trust your heart to hold the key, remember this is meant to be... & BUTTERFLIES ARE MEANT TO BE FREE. JM need I say more? *smile* (except) love this poem!!! and the poet who wrote it . It's amazing How you make your face just like a wall How you take your heart and turn it off How I turn my head and you lose it all ... And it's unnerving How one move just puts me by myself There you go just trusting someone else Now I know I put us both through hell ... I'm not sayin That there was nothing wrong I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me And I'm not sayin We ever had the right to hold on I just didn't wanna let you get away from me. ~MB20~Leave |

ButterfliesDC~ 'For my heart can’t take this' So poignant are these words ... sweetie, I hope you find that special someone who has the key to unlock your loving heart again. Beautifully sad. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Echoes of my soul .. Amen. --Kess Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange... --William Shakespeare, from The Tempest |

I'll ditto Kess...indeed echoes of my soul. Except I haven't locked the door...keeping hope and watching yourself get slammed again and again is a hard way to go through life, thats for sure...powerful and so true are your words, butterflies_dont_cry. *Krista Knutson* ~We are only truly lost when we have lost ourselves~ |
