The character here is one of the many who are afraid of the dark (I don't know what phobia it is called, but it exists a lot, I believe) --------------- Silent disguise of the ghost, As the summer’s midnight dream, Awaiting the cold clasp of death, The struggle within begins.... The witch! She hunts armed with a broom, The bride! She lives never to see her groom, The hunter! He starts his daily job, Hunting and looting while they sob. As I await the day, the night rules, As I long for my sun, the moon disappears, In terror of the dark, I tremble when the mob rules, I am the victim of the night, seeing nightmares. Oh! What a night! Such an evil night, Where have you gone O Good Samaritan? Where have you gone my daylight? Where have you gone my sunshine? Tired, dissipated, with bated breaths, Trembling, shivering, fearing death In high seas, as one is afraid of sharks, In lonely quarters, I stay with fear of the dark! In any moment of decision, The best thing you can do is the right thing, The next-best thing is the wrong thing, And the worst thing you can do is nothing. - Theodore Roosevelt |

Paints a vivid picture...I could see someone's eyes peering out just over the top of their sheet. Very nice. ~Kelly ![]() Reflect upon your present blessings-of which every man has many-not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some. ~Charles Dickens We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. ~Winston Churchill |

Sunshine, Denise, Thanks a lot for reading. So nyctopobia, it is then. Thanks Sunshine, and yes, it takes one like you to get away from the dark... Creepy shivers, interesting, but a great transfer of effects. Poetry can do wonders, I never imagined this one. Thanks denise for sharing what you felt... Regards, sudhir.
