State of constant confusion!

She Walks

She walks along this lonely street
no one to dry her tears
to massage her tired feet
or calm ever present fears

Seeing life through tainted heart
making everything gray
Alone, her life, anew to start
Always searching for a way

But life goes on no matter what
That fact she cannot quell
Memories ne'er to be forgot'
Within her heart they dwell

So she keeps walking this lonely street
Keeps searching to find her way
Every night she lies down to sleep
She prays tomorrow's a better day

Thanks to Troy and netswan for your help with this.

I lie awake in a world filled with dreams,
but dreams can be so real when you don't know you're asleep

Hi Jeffery!
My friend I'm here always to give a company. I know how difficult it's to go alone always but I carry with me a dream of meeting her and showing her how much I love her and meeting her would be the best moment in my life. Till then I'll persevere.

Sincerely

And so she walks with head held high
no reason now, for her to cry...
For everything there is a reason,
and a time, alas, for every season.

No need to understand it all -
she dries her eyes and walks so tall
believes that someone high above,
is guiding her to find true love.

He knows what's best, and he knows all
although sometimes we stagger, fall
Just trust in him, to lead the way
and know you'll find a brighter day.

Thank you Jeffrey for this.  I know it had nothing to do with me, but somehow it inspired me to see myself in it, in a positive way.  Thank you so much. I found a bit of peace in it.  Yours is very lovely....

Lovely, flowing verse Jeffery ... such a lonely street it can be, but the thrill of knowing tomorrow is just around the corner, is what keeps us walking ... beautiful poem.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Thanks everyone, this poem was inspired by something a friend of mine is going through. It breaks my heart to know she is going through such a terrible time, but at the same time I feel that she has accepted things for what they are and has decided to move on with her life. Praying tomorrow's a better day.

Thanks again for the kind words.

All my love,
Jeffrey

Jeffrey,
Absolutely lovely, my friend.  Gives the sense that even though things may be at their darkest, if you keep carrying on, there is always hope for a better tomorrow.  I know how that feels.  Thank you for sharing this!

This gives me a feeling I have had before..even just recently..when you feel like you are in between your life...as if every thing is happening around you..and you are not participating...as if you have no control...a time of change..James

WOW Jeffery, an excellent poem. It is tough to see loved ones going through hard times and not being able to fight beside them or to hepl improve their situation. Though alot of time just being there and listening makes all the difference and give that person the
strength to continue. I hope your friends problems have been resolved.

I know this was written for a she but I can say I certainly relate to it from a man's vantage point Jeffrey.  Tomorrow has to be better than today - that's for sure...

Here's to a tomorrow that may hold hope, truth and sunshine.

Sad, expressive, genuine feelings.  It is only a true friend who really feels the emotions of others.  Your friend is lucky.
