Oh, to Know Love Love is more than what most people perceive To really know love, you must believe, love is… A familiar look A knowing glance A sassy smirk A long slow dance A well known touch that yet still feels new A spark of fire between just two Sharing thoughts, dreams, and little wishes Still taking time for long passionate kisses A laugh and a giggle for no special reason A feeling which grows stronger with each changing season A playful teasing A gentle nudge A comfortable silence Never being judged If I'm lucky enough to find and really know love It's something I'll make sure I never let go of Reflect upon your present blessings-of which every man has many-not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some. ~Charles Dickens We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. ~Winston Churchill |

KellSue~ This is a beautiful entrance into our family of Passionate poets. Welcome ... you wear your heart well. You've touched love tenderly. Very pleasantly desirable thoughts. Enjoyed it very much. ~*Marge~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Truly beautiful, and true. I agree with everything you have written here, and if only we are all lucky enough to find this, and steer clear of cynicism. Kellsue, again, Welcome to Passions!! This was a great first poem. . . and I couldn't agree more. . . love is so many things. . . and you have found many of them. . . I feel that we all want to know love like this. . .perhaps we have, and perhaps we will Excellent. . . ---------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

You've captured some of the most wonderful aspects of love Kellsue ... to be able to be comfortable with one another, and yet still have the spark. This is a lovely poem. /Kit |
