One Perfect Day One perfect day, I came to know The meaning of true bliss, While drinking fresh-brewed coffee That was sweetened by your kiss. Outside, the air was wintry cold, But I was snug and warm: The radiant warmth of summertime I felt, within your arms. One perfect day, I felt the touch Of something sweet and rare, As, with my gentle, loving hands, I washed your silken hair. And, as I gazed upon your face, So happy and so calm, I marveled at the beauty That I held within my palm. One perfect day, I caught a glimpse Of Heaven, up above, While walking hand in hand with you - The woman that I love. The sweet sensation of your touch Drove all my cares away, And filled me with tranquility Upon that perfect day. -Troy J.
