Are there no more windmills to fight Brave Don Quixote? Does not the song of the beautiful Dulcinea fill your ears? I know not if there are my squire Faithful Sancho Panza If the windmills have stopped turning They show it not And I have sought long for Dulcinea's song But it whispers not on the wind Will we continue our journey Brave Don Quixote? Fighting demons in her beautiful name Keeping her safe from harm? I know not when she will call Faithful Sancho Panza But when and if she does We will be ready for it For she is my Dulcinea, fairest of the fair And I am her one brave knight Don Quixote, Man of LaMancha Defender of the weak Saviour of the heart My sword for her honor My shield for her love --------------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

ohmygosh Sven! You're not gonna believe this, but I have only heard that song done on the piano once, and I have forever been trying to figure out who, what, where, you know? It was the most exquisite piece I'd ever heard done on piano.....The only word I even caught was, "Dulcinea".....Ohgosh....you have to email me, and tell me the whole story...so there is a song out there like that??? Do you know by whom? Is there only one? It's a slow and beautiful piece. Oh....I hope you can tell me more!! I want to find the music to it, and learn to play it. This poem of yours btw, was outstanding! Very macho, but sexy nonetheless! hehe I saw the title, and immediately jumped on it in starving curiosity hoping to find out more about this "Dulcinea" character...now I have a bit more of an idea who she was. Thank you! You've just made my day! |

Thank you all. . . I was inspired to write this piece after seeing a new movie about Don Quixote on TV. . . I have always loved the story and "Man of La Mancha" has always touched my heart. . . Glad that you all liked. . . ---------------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
