Fly, Butterfly take an unformed dream- hold it in your hands with care, caress, with peace, impress- a print of love upon its gentle soul see the dreams of a butterfly are grown inside a cocoon of lonely introspection through heartache, it strives, to grow from a form bound to the ground wishing more into a soaring flight of free and if you impinge: beware- for you grasp a fragile hope crush this hope and you crush the beauty of an unformed happiness but if you breathe a sigh of care into its waiting lungs then freedom sings on whispered wings for even butterflies need to learn how to fly [This message has been edited by Christopher (edited 05-03-2000).] |

Chris, this is exceptional writing here, truly... and it's made even better by the fact that it was inspired by another poets words... that is the true gift of poetry...and this special place. I saw your reply on her poem and it was awesome...and I know she will be very touched by this. "Butterflies are Meant To Be Free" take care, jm |

Christopher~ When a poet gives you inspiration ... it's a blessing ... you've given back a precious treasure. This one flutters toward a heart that needs the nectar of your verse. ButterfliesDC~ will cherish it, I'm certain. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Christopher* How do I even start....This is beautiful and you made me cry darn it! hold it in your hands with care, caress, Showing how fragile these dreams can be although in the moment of love they feel so strong that you place all that you are and all that you have within them. bound to the ground wishing more into a soaring flight of free breathtaking imagery and enlightening us how although the dreams that may in time leave and cause us pain without them we would be nothing more than..."bound to the ground" for even butterflies need to learn how to fly I see this as applying for all those who love with everything they have...and then have it taken all away, you forget amidst the pain of betrayal that there is any hope you will ever feel the way you did when love and dreams were brandnew. From beginning to end and everywhere in between this was a beautiful sight....and insightful to all that pain (change of seasons) can inspire beauty. For Beauty would be just a word if you had nothing to compare it to. Chistopher, you have a gift....thank you so much for sharing it. Hold me for yesterday Kiss me for tomorrow But love me for today. Christopher, What a lovely tribute! And so very true. I was caught at the frist line, my friend, and did not stop till I reached the end. I thoroughly enjoyed it! ~you reached inside, you touched my heart, and I am all the better for it~ Terry A. Woodson, Jr. |

Take heed to your dreams, but handle them with care........ Don't try so hard that you smother them. And soon, you'll fly once again, happy and free! Once again Chris, your words astound me! This is beautiful! ~Sheri |

Simply breathtaking, my friend -- a tender glimpse of soul ... I was swept. --Me Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange... --William Shakespeare, from The Tempest |
