Nothing ~~~ Been sitting here about an hour and decided to write about ‘nothing’ It’s what the kid’s do in school all day when asked they just reply “nothing” Nothing has a nasty habit of blocking all the news the answer that we seldom seek is often the one we use What’s with you I ask my wife she sneers at me and say’s “nothing” What’s all this bickering I ask the kids the answer I most often get... “nothing” The family phone is made of gold it’s used more than TV I had to add a second line with hopes it was for me My nine year old ties up a line I ask what’s so important “nothing” “Oh...what’s under your boyfriends hair” I snicker “get a life dad” sure beats “nothing” There’s still one place to chew the fat I head for the barber shop Clayton’s on top of all the news and I need a little off the top “What’s new with you” he smiles and says “it’s been a while” then I reply “nothing” ~~~ |

Rex, this is really not NOTHING.. this is SOMETHING indeed... I really really like this... it's just toooo true, isn't it? You've got 'nothing' pegged! Yours has meaning... thanks for posting it again!! mine was nothing compared to this.  |

don't sell yourself short Doreen ... I don't have your poetic talent ... I write basically to make people laugh ... it's one of the few enjoyments I get from life ... lately there's not many people reading my posts ... and I get the feeling that others are angry with me for some reason ... perhaps I've offended someone ... somehow ... It matters not ... my internet runs out soon and I doubt that I'll renew it |
