I thought it would be easy to get through this on my own That I really didn't need her I could face this world alone She forgot to take her memory with her when she left me here alone Every time I think I'm over her It reminds me that I'm wrong I'd be back to my old self within a day- two at the most But when she left she forgot to take with her, her ghost She forgot to take her memory with her when she left me on my own And every time I think I'm over her I'm reminded that she's gone I would like to thank Micheal for helping me with this piece. ![]() Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Jeffrey ![]() I lie awake in a world filled with dreams, but dreams can be so real when you don't know you're asleep |

Oh, sweet Jeffrey~ This is stunning in it's portrayal of your heart right now. You will see ... 'Another Love Will Come' and I want to be around to see it light up your face and your poetry. It will happen, hon ... honest. Love and hugs and kisses and all that wonderful mushy stuff ! ![]() ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Jeffrey, I guess you know that I can relate to the feelings you've so aptly expressed with this piece...whether it be death or another form of separation that keeps us from the one we love, the ghosts of memory are there far beyond the physical presence, and can transcend all time and sensory boundaries. I'm glad you're writing about it...take care, my friend. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Dear Jeffrey~ Yep damn them for not taking their memories with them, makes moving on and getting on with your life a whole lot harder. Hope the hurt starts to fade a little soon. Tracie~ Love is the life of the soul... It is the harmony of the universe |

Your words and sentiments are moving Jeffrey ... if we could only place our memories in a box, to be taken out and dusted off only when we want to, it would be so much easier. Alas ... only time can heal the wounds. Beautifully written from the heart! /Kit McCallum |

~Jeff You have the stunning capability to write at such a great depth! This is one of my favorites from you most definitely! I loved the title, and the flow of this piece. Jeffrey, What a lovely poem. I know how that ghost of memory lingers all to well. But trust me, even that ghost will fade in time. It just takes that -- time. Time and the support of all the friends who care about you! ![]() Love Ya~ Terry ~you reached inside, you touched my heart, and I am all the better for it~ Terry A. Woodson, Jr. |

Jeffrey, this is a wonderful poem. Yes, you may walk away from a person, but their memory is always with you. "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde |

Hehe...well you were talking guit-fiddle at first and I was thinkin' about a good ol' red-neck roust, playin' music on pots & pans & old scrub boards....LOL But since you mentioned guitar - well, let's do this thing up right then... That's my e-ticket there. Hey, Jeffrey, this poem is "all you" - don't be swingin't too much credit my way. I'll give a tip or two anytime you need one, bud. This one turned out wonderful for you. A beautiful job Jeffrey, written from your heart as all your work is. And yes "they" would be much easier to get over if they took their memories....but when it stops hurting it's nice to remember the good times too. Thank you so much for sharing a piece of your heart with us. |

Very cool Jeff! I've been there before and you described it perfectly. I like the title... "She forgot to take her memory" perfect... =) Thanks man, Dave "Don't let your character get camoflaged with your environment. Find who you are and let it stay in its true colors." --Rachel Joy Scott |

nice work jeff! I liked this one. of course I am a melancholy poet at heart, so I'm biased. hehe good work to you though. Jeffrey, I'd have to agree with so many who have already written their comments... this should have music to go with it. Maybe some sweet notes would even help to ease the pain. Very nice poem. Sue |

very beautiful, I do believe I heard a song like this.. Memories like the corners of my mind... memories also help us in looking ahead to more memories lest we forget. hehe Isn't it ironic.. I believe that's a song too. |
